In 1969, Steffen Hopf started distribution of high quality sound systems. In 1972, he introduced Sennheiser microphones and headphones to the Canadian market. These products were aimed at recording studios, TV and radio, high-fi and pro audio outlets.

Mr. Hopf introduced SGH in 2004. The line of products is extensive. It comprises tube and solid state amps for all styles of music, from blues to country and rock to heavy metal.
